My mom and my aunt blinked first. They could not stand the fact that I still have not started on the baby stuff so they went out today to buy for me. Will pick up my first baby package tomorrow (hehehehe).
It is not part of the plan at all. We were prepared to buy the stuff ourselves. We never asked for stuff from people. But I think, secretly, these people really want to buy the stuff on their own and are happy to have an excuse to do so.
No matter the reason, I am happy though. This ensures that I have less to worry about. I am hoping that I will only have to spend for my breast pump.
There are two to three more groups of people who wants to throw me a shower. They are asking for my list. I wonder what I will ask from them. Especially here in the office. I know the kind of money everyone is making here. They are really sweet and I know that they will pool money to buy me something expensive. But I really wish they would not because I do not want to be a burden.
Same goes for my friends. I know they are all working and can afford it, but we are all starting out. Expensive gifts seem to be too ostentatious for me.
